Is your registered business not operational or temporarily closed? Did you successfully register your business at BIR and in some reason have planned not pursue the business?
If you fall in any of the categories above, filing your BIR is still a must and must be on time to avoid any penalties.
YES! You still need to pay your annual registration fee and file all forms based on which business category you are.

Bureau of Internal Revenues have already provided an alternative for all tax payers a mode to file and prepare all their tax returns that is easier and more convenient. The use of eBIRForms by taxpayers will improve the BIR's tax return data capture and storage thereby enhancing efficiency and accuracy in the filing of tax returns. Through the use of the downloadable eBIRForms Software Package (also known as the Offline Package), taxpayers and Accredited Tax Agents (ATAs) will be able to fill up tax returns offline and submit it to the BIR through the Online eBIRForms System.

With the eBIR application, which can run on any Windows program, helps busy business owners like us to file then pay via online banking, for a more convenient and hassle-free tax computations, forms printing (you can print and update in BIR at anytime) and compilation.
In case you missed your due date, and was not able to file via eBIR, you are still obliged to file it, even if it is late, and go to the RDO office your business was registered and have it computed for the penalties. Penalties vary depending on your business tax type and amount you have earned for the quarter or year.
Important TIP: File all your forms via eBIR and print it. BIR do not accept hand-written forms unless you are a Senior Citizen or PWD.
